Introduction:
On Monday, in Jakarta, Indonesia, Indian shooters extended their streak of winning gold medals at the Asia Olympic Qualifiers.
Yogesh Singh won the top prize in both the individual and team competitions of the men’s 25-meter center fire pistol category.
Yogesh won the individual gold medal with a score of 573, moving ahead of Muad Al Balushi of Oman, who finished in second place with a score of 570, and Anang Yulianto of Indonesia, who finished in third place with a score of 567.
Aside from Pankaj Yadav (567) and Akshay Jain (564), the other two Indian competitors in the competition finished in fourth and sixth place, respectively.
With a total score of 1704, the Indian trio won the team gold medal, surpassing the scores of the shooters from Oman and Indonesia.
In contrast, the Indian team consisting of Shreyasi, Manisha Keer, and Bhavya Tripathi brought home the silver medal in the women’s trap team competition.
They finished with a total score of 328, which placed them in second place behind China and first place ahead of Kazakhstan.
