Wimbledon 2015: Leander Paes-Martina Hingis win mixed doubles title

India’s Leander Paes and Switzerland’s Martina Hingis have comfortably defeated Alexander Peya of Austria and Timea Babos of Hungary 6-1, 6-1 to win the Wimbledon mixed doubles title at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

The Indo- Swiss team have thrashed the Austrian-Hungarian team in just 40 minutes.  It is the eighth Grand Slam for Paes and Eighteenth Grand slam for Hingis. It should be noted that Hingis won the women’s double alongside Indian Partner Sania Mirza.

This is the first time that three Indians have won Wimbledon titles – Sania Mirza in women’s doubles, Leander Paes in mixed doubles and Sumit Nagal in boys’ doubles.
