You don’t need to read those behemoth pile of notes again. Some College notes are enough to crack the IBPS SO Exam. Remember the difficulty of IBPS IT Officer’s Professional Knowledge is Moderate. These days, almost every bank is in need of IT Officers. These IT Officers are responsible to take care of banks’ software systems. They are also responsible to look into maintenance of servers, database and other networking aspects. Generally, candidates with B.E./B.Tech, MCA or M.Sc.(or Equivalent) Degree in Computer Science or any other stream having Computer Science as a subject are eligible to apply for IT posts.

What Exactly IT Officers do in Bank?

IT technical support officers monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation like

  • testing and evaluating new technology;
  • conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

IBPS SO Salary Specialist officer scale 2 pay scale – salary structure

Officer Scale II: Rs. 19400 – 700/1 – 20100 – 800/10 – 28100/-
For officer scale 2, minimum 2-3 years experience in the respective field depending on the post is desired.
The above IBPS SO salary pay scale does not include HTA, DA, CCA etc. other allowances. It is just the basic pay structure.
The approx. Salary of IBPS Specialist Officer Cash in hand of officer scale 2 after appointment will be around Rs. 34000-40000/-. So candidates should not miss the chance of applying for this post who are preparing for bank exams.
The above IBPS SO salary structure means the basic pay will be rs. 19700 for officer MMG Scale 2. It will get Rs.700 increment after 1 year so that it gets to be Rs. 20100. Then there will be rs. 800 increment for 10 years. Same method of salary calculation for officer scale 1.

Specialist officer scale 1 pay scale – salary structure

Officer Scale I: Rs 14500 – 600/7 – 18700 – 700/2 – 20100 -800/7 – 25700/-
The approx. IBPS SO Salary Cash in hand of Officer Scale 1 after appointment will be around Rs. 24000-32000/-.
IBPS releases specialist officer (SO) recruitment every year. Candidates who wants to get good salary with a govt. job should apply for this post.
