Following his record-breaking performance in the World Cup 2023, Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli was awarded the ICC One-Day International Player of the Year award for the fourth time by the International Cricket Council.

In addition to being one of the four nominees for the ICC Cricketer of the Year 2023 award, Kohli had previously won the title in the years 2012, 2017, and 2018.

In a noteworthy accomplishment, Kohli has become the first cricketer in history to win this award four times, surpassing the total of three accolades that AB de Villiers had won.
