The 2015 US Open Tennis Tournament has come to end. This year’s tournament is the 135th edition of the US Open, and also the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. The tournament was an event run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is part of the 2015 ATP World Tourand the 2015 WTA Tour calendars under the Grand Slam category. The tournament is played on hard courts.

Men’s Singles
- World number one Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in four dramatic sets to win his second US Open and 10th Grand Slam title.
- The Serb won 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-4 in New York and will end the year with three of the four tennis majors.
Women’s Singles
- Italy’s Flavia Pennetta defeated compatriot Roberta Vinci (Italy) in straight sets 7-6 and 6-2.
- She became the first Italian to win US Open champion and it was also her maiden US Grand Slam title.
Men’s Doubles Title
- French pair of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut won the Men’s Doubles trophy of the US Open.
- They defeated Jamie Murray of United Kingdom and John Peers of Australia by 6–4, 6–4 score.
Women’s Doubles Title
- India’s Sania Mirza and Switzerland’s Martina Hingis Women’s Doubles Title of the US Open.
- In the final match, they defeated, Casey Dellacqua (Australia) and Yaroslava Shvedova (Kazakhstan) pair by 6–3, 6–3 score.
Points to Note
- The US Open total prize money for 2015 was increased by 10.5 percent to a record $42,253,400.
- For Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis pair, the US Open title is their fourth title of this season. The pair have won Wimbledon Championship, BNP Paribas Open and WTA Family Circle Cup doubles title earlier.
