Union Government announces Rs 1.25 lakh crore special package for Bihar

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a package of Rs. 1.25 lakh crore for the Bihar on 19th August 2015. He was in Ara to attend a function. He guaranteed that this investment will change the fate and face of the Bihar. CM Nitesh Kumar  has been demanding special status for a long time.

After  his speech in Bhojpuri, Mr. Modi spoke of the welfare of farmers and agricultural development. He said that without the development of Bihar and other eastern States, India could not progress.

The Prime Minister said: “Earlier, I had declared that I would give a Rs. 50,000-crore package to Bihar, but now, I realised it was not enough for the State. So I have come here to Ara to declare that I will give a Rs 1.25-lakh-crore package for its growth and development.
