The GPS enabled mobile app of the Telangana Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust bagged this year’s Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI)’s healthcare excellence award. It is the second award for the app having secured the ‘Elite Smart Healthcare Conclave’ for being the most important mobile app in the nation.

• Aarogyasri CEO Dr. M. Chandrasekhar will be receiving the award from Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda at a function to be held in Delhi on Aug.31. TS Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy appreciated the Trust officials for the award.

• The mobile app was launched by Mr. Laxma Reddy three months ago and within a few days got 4.5 points in the Google Playstore for being downloaded one lakh times. The app was made by the project monitoring unit of the Trust which enables any patient to locate the network hospital within 10 km radius through a map.

• It will also show the nearest route to the hospitals networked under Healthcare Trust. This has been of much help during emergencies and road accidents. The app also provides complete information pertaining to specialities available in each hospital district wise, phone numbers of the network hospitals, mail ids, etc., pointed out Administrative Officer CH.
