Tanzania President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has invited investors from India to made investments in his country. He said India can explore investments in various sectors in the African nation. Kikwete has made this invitation at the India-Tanzania Trade & Investment Forum, organised by FICCI in association with CII and ASSOCHAM at New Delhi. He added Tanzania offers a positive, peaceful, stable, predictable and competitive ecosystem to foreign investment community.
India could explore investment opportunities in many sectors including agricultural and livestock development, natural resources, tourism, manufacturing, oil and gas exploration and production and mining, he said. Kikwete also said that the government recognises the importance of private sector as engine of growth.
India’s Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya said India would support Tanzania in its development endeavour, which would further strengthen the link between the two nations, Kundariya added.
