Sumit Mazumder has been elected as the President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the year 2015-16. He replaced Mr Ajay Shriram as the new President. Mazumder is also the Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors India Limited. He was a graduate from St Xavier’s College, Calcutta. He obtained his MBA from Sam Houston State University, Texas, USA.

Dr. Naushad Forbes, Director, Forbes Marshall, has been appointed as the President-designate of CII for the year 2015-16. Ms Shobana Kamineni, Executive Vice-Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited has been elected as Vice-President of CII for the year 2015-16. Kamineni is an alumnus from Stella Maris College, Chennai and also she holds an accelerated Diploma in Hospital Administration from Columbia University, New York.
