Indian women’s hockey team’s forward Rani Rampal was on 4th August 2015 offered the post of assistant coach by the Sports Authority of India (SAI). The move was also aimed at motivating “budding women hockey players”.
About Rani Rampal
- She is an Indian field hockey player.
- At the age of 15, she was the youngest player in the national team which participated in the 2010 World Cup.
- Rani played in the Champion’s Challenge Tournament held in Kazan, Russia in June, 2009 .
- She was also adjudged the ‘Player of the Tournament’ at the 2013 Junior World Cup.
