SS malikajuna Rao charge as New ED for Syndicate bank

S S Mallikarjuna Rao has assumed charge as executive director of Manipal-based Syndicate Bank on September 15. Prior to joining the Bank, Mallikarjuna Rao was general manager and CFO of Oriental Bank of Commerce, looking after alternate delivery channels, marketing and publicity. He was also head of operational excellence team of 70 members handling electronic delivery channels and cash management services of the Bank.

Mallikarjuna Rao was also a member of core integration committee involved in technology integration of GTB operations with OBC involving core banking and delivery channels. He was also assistant vice president of Global Trust Bank Ltd. He holds BSc degree. He has also completed LLB and is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and holding diploma in many other banking domains. He started his career as officer in Bank of Maharashtra in 1985.
