South Africa win T20 series 2-0 as 3rd match abandoned due to rain

The third and final T20 international between India and South Africa was tonight abandoned without a ball being bowled because of a wet outfield, allowing the visitors to clinch the three-match series by 2-0 margin. The abandonment of the game after just a passing evening shower again showed the poor drainage system of the iconic Eden Gardens.

For long, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has faced flak for the poor underground drainage system that fails to clear the accumulated water after a spell of showers. Every time, the CAB mandarins have promised action, but the situation has remained the same.
