The State Bank of India has named Praveen Gupta as its new managing director and chief executive of its merchant banking arm, SBI Capital Markets. Praveen succeeds Rajnish Kumar, who has been promoted as managing director. Prior to this appointment, Gupta was the deputy managing director and chief financial officer of the nation’s largest lender.
