Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis lose Rome Masters Doubles Final

Top seeded Indo-Swiss Pair, Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis, have lost the finals of Rome Masters Doubles Title. They were defeated by Hungarian-French pair of Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. The winners have packeted  $2,428,490. The Mirza-Hingis pair, is on outstanding form, have won Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston Titles this year. They were the favorites of Rome Masters too. But the top seeded pair could not match Timea and Kristina. They completely dominated the game.

In the Women’s Singles Match, Russia’s Maria Sharapova has defeated Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. The match was so tough for both the players and was lasted for two hours and 35 minutes. This is Sharapova’s 35th Career Title.

Rome Masters is one of the major tune-up events for the French Open, which starts on May 24.
