Indian wrestler, Sangram Singh won the World Wrestling Professionals (WWP) Commonwealth Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. The championship was held at Nelson Mandela Bay in Port Elizabeth in South Africa. The prestigious fight that had him sign up a death contract. Sangram Singh nearly died during his fight. His opponent was on top of him for over 10 minutes and Sangram nearly suffocated to death.

• Sangram Singh was awarded the World’s Best Wrester of 2012 by WWP. He was selected for the award from other 118 wrestlers.
• Sangram Singh is the brand ambassador of People for Animal and Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre
• In 2010, Young Men’s Association of India awarded Sangram Singh with Crown Award.
• He has also appeared in a number of reality television shows, such as Survivor India and Sach Ka Saamna.
• Sangram was finalist of season seven of Bigg Boss in 2013.
