Reliance Jio Launches JioMoney Digital Wallet

Reliance Jio has quietly launched its new wallet app on the Apple and Android app stores. The new app, which joins Jiochat Messenger and My Jio apps in the respective stores, is called JioMoney Wallet. According to Jio, the app has been launched with an aim to make payments easier.

Customers can use JioMoney’s digital wallet, a Jio Money card or any other credit/debit card directly from the wallet to pay merchant seamlessly and instantly. JioMoney digital wallet also gives consumers the option of opening a Digital Bank Account or linking their existing account.

The wallet app allows users to access all utility bills in one place and allows direct payment to major electricity and gas suppliers. It can also send and receive payments from other users and allows insurance payments via most banks. JioMoney Wallet can be used to make DTH payments to Big TV, DishTV, Airtel DTH, Tata Sky, Videocon DTH and Sun Direct along with mobile recharges for Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL, Unior, Tata Docomo, MTNL among other operators.

In addition, the app will support payments on online stores like Clarks, Bookmyshow and Groupon along with payments support for the Reliance ecosystem.
