India and the US have signed a significant MoU on energy security, climate change and clean energy which Secretary of State John Kerry said reflects the commitment of the two countries to make the Paris summit later this year a success. The two countries will launch a private sector-led Innovation Forum, which will serve as an additional avenue through which the two governments seek private sector feedback and input for bilateral discussions. The Innovation Forum will be memorialised in a broader Memorandum of Understanding related to innovation and entrepreneurship between the US and Indian governments.

India and the US have decided to launch an Ocean Dialogue, which Secretary of State John Kerry said, is aimed at promoting sustainable development of blue economy.
During the January 2015 visit, US President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to work together to increase connectivity across the Indian Ocean and Asia-Pacific Regions.
CCS clears Military helicopters deal with US aviation giant Boeing
The Cabinet Committee on Security on Tuesday cleared the long-delayed $2.5-billion deal for 22 Apache attack helicopters and 15 Chinook heavy-lift choppers with American aviation giant Boeing.
The Apache is considered by experts to be the world’s premier anti-tank attack helicopter. In its flight evaluation trials, the IAF had picked the Apache ahead of the Russian Mi-28N Night Hunter. Similarly, the IAF had concluded that the Chinook heavy-lift chopper had a lower life-cycle cost than the Russian Mi-26 helicopter.
