Punjab celebrates 350th years of foundation of Sri Anandpur Sahib

Punjab has celebrated the 350th year of foundation of Sri Anandpur Sahib on June 19′ 2015. The holy city, which is also the birth place of Khalsa, was founded by the Ninth Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in 1665. The function was presided by Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal. He dedicated the 81 feet high ‘Khanda’, installed at Sri Anandpur Sahib to the humanity. The installed Khanda symbolizes the glorious legacy and rich cultural heritage of this holy city of bliss on its 350th foundation day.

Thousands of devotees from across the world have already converged at the venue.All arrangements have been made to provide them safe and secure environment. A public holiday has been declared in Punjab and union territory Chandigarh so that people could attend the function and pay obeisance.
