PM Narendra Modi to address UN Sustainable development summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a high-level UN sustainable development summit hosted by the United Nations on September 25. More than 150-world leaders are expected to attend the Sustainable Development Summit. He will also travel to San Francisco during his US visit, becoming the fourth Indian premier to visit America’s West Coast.

The annual high-level General Debate will begin on September 28 and will run through October 6. Since Modi is likely to return to India around September 28, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is expected to represent the country at the General Debate.

Modi had given his maiden address to the UN General Assembly last year and had then travelled to Washington to meed US President Barack Obama.
