Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of two elevated Metro corridors in Mumbai– Dahisar-D N Nagar and Dahisar-Andheri (east) route. Speaking on the occasion Prime Minister said, “Port sector needs to be expanded, strengthened, developed, and advanced if India has to emerge as a global leader.” Prime Minister further said, coastal States need to work together to develop the port sector. Prime Minsiter also reiterated that for environmental friendly development, mass-transport mechanisms are imperative.

Speaking at the event, Modi spoke of the developments that are done due to the recent ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make In India’ initiatives. He also spoke about the port developments and congratulated Union Minster for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for his initiatives to develop road networks in India.

Mr. Modi says Constitution Day will be celebrated on November 26 and all schools will celebrate the ‘Samvidhan Divas’.
