Oscar Winning Screenwriter Michael Blake dies

Academy Award-winning screenwriter Michael Blake has died in Arizona due to heart failure at the age of 69. Blake won an Oscar for penning the script of “Dances With Wolves”.

Blake wrote the novel “Dances With Wolves” in 1988. It was turned into an Oscar-winning feature film. Along with screenplay, the movie won six other Oscars, including best picture. The script also won the prize at the WGA Awards and the Golden Globes. The extraordinary book has sold more than 3.5 million copies and was translated into 15 different languages.
