Instant messaging and calling Mobile Application Viber has said that the company has more than 40 million Viber users in India and the company has achieved this feat in less than two years after starting operations in India in December 2013. Now globally India has become the largest base for the company. Viber offers free messaging and HD-quality calls and it has more than 500 million unique users across 193 countries.
According to the Country Head Mr Anubhav Nayyar, this feat is a significant achievement for Viber and the Viber users in India. Last year, the company launched Viber Public Chats, a feature that permits users to discover, share and interact with conversations, communities and content on mobile. As of now there are more than 50 public chats in India that include fashion, beauty, travel, sports and entertainment.
