1. 160.4 Kph: Starc bowls Tests’ fastest
Australian paceman Mitchell Starc joined an exclusive club with a sizzling delivery on the third day of the second Test against New Zealand at the WACA Ground in Perth. The fourth ball of his 21st over was clocked at 160.4 kilometres per hour (99.7 mph). Only four other fast bowlers have officially been recorded to have bowled at more than 160 kilometres per hour. Pakistan’s Shoaib Akhtar holds the record with a 161.3 kilometres per hour thunderbolt against England at Newlands in 2003.

2. Noted Children’s Book Writer Kamala Laxman passes away
A noted writer of children’s books Kamala Laxman passed away on 14 November 2015 in Pune. She was 90. She was widow of legendary cartoonist R K Laxman who was best known for his creation The Common Man for his daily cartoon strip You Said It in the daily The Times of India.

3. India, Australia seal N-deal procedures
India and Australia have sealed Nuclear-deal procedures for supply of uranium from later to energy starved India. N-deal procedures were formally completed between both countries following a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Malcolm Turnbull in Antalya, Turkey on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit. Following the conclusion of the agreement, India has become the first country to buy Uranium from Australia without being a signatory to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT).

4. Nico Rosberg wins Brazilian Grand Prix
Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won the Brazilian Grand Prix. Nico Rosberg sealed his place as runner-up in this year’s Formula One world championship on November 15 ahead of his Mercedes teammate and newly-crowned three-time champion Lewis Hamilton. Sebastian Vettel finished third ahead of fellow Ferrari driver Kimi Raikonnen.
It was Rosberg’s fifth win of 2015 and the 13th of his career.

5. Philippines to host 2015 APEC summit
Philippines is going to host 2015 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit from 18–19 November 2015 in its capital city Manila for the first time in nearly two decades. It is second time Philippines hosting the Asia-Pacific region’s most high-level business event and it had previously hosted it in 1996. For first time Philippines had hosted the APEC summit under the leadership of then-President Fidel Ramos who had vowed to help develop an action plan on facilitating free Trade in the region.

6. Saina Nehwal wins Silver medal at 2015 China open
Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has won silver medal at 2015 China Open Superseries Premier Badminton tournament after finishing at second position in the Women’s Singles category. In the final match played at the Haixia Olympic Sports Centre in Fuzhou, the defending champion and top seeded Saina lost to sixth placed Xuerui Li from China by 12-21, 15-21 score.
Saina and Li had met 12 times against each other and Saina has won just 2 of those games. The final of China Open tournament was overall Saina’s fifth final of the year 2015 and the third instance in 2015 that the World No. 1 has come out second best.

7. Government declares NSCN (K) as terrorist organization under UAPA
The Government has declared the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang), NSCN (K), all its formations and front organizations as a terrorist organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. A Gazette Notification issued on November 6, 2015 mentions that the NSCN (K), a militant outfit, came into existence in 1988 and is active along the Indo-Myanmar border. NSCN (K) has resorted to terrorism by killing innocent civilians and security forces and engaged in other violent activities including the June 4, 2015 attack on the Army convoy in Chandel district of Manipur. A total of 38 organisations are banned under the UAPA, which was amended in the aftermath of the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

8. Nokia appoints Sandeep Girotra designated head for India
Finnish telecom gear maker Nokia announced that Sandeep Girotra would become the Head of India as part of the planned merger of the company and Alcatel-Lucent. Mr Girotra is currently Vice President and Head of India, Nokia Networks. Nokia in April had announced the acquisition of French firm Alcatel-Lucent in an all-stock deal valued at 15.6 billion euros ($16.6 billion).

9. Over 13,000 delegates from 26 nations attend G20 Summit
The two-day G20 Summit at the picturesque Turkish coastal resort town is being. It has been attended by more than 13,000 delegates from as many as 26 countries and seven international organisations. Top global leaders, including US President Barack Obama, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, among others, are attending the Summit.

10. Saeed Jaffrey, Indian actor and Bollywood veteran, dies
Actor Saeed Jaffrey, a veteran of dozens of Bollywood and international films, has died at the age of 86. Tributes have poured in since Jaffrey suffered a brain haemorrhage in London. Jaffrey starred in such acclaimed Indian films as Satyajit Ray’s Shatranj ke Khiladi (The Chess Players) and more than 100 Bollywood productions. He also appeared in A Passage To India, Gandhi and The Man Who Would Be King, and earned a Bafta nomination for his role in 1985’s My Beautiful Laundrette.

11. Siril wins silver at World Junior Championships
Young Indian shuttler Siril Verma clinched a silver medal at the BWF World Junior Championships after suffering a narrow defeat against Chinese Taipei’s Chia Hung Lu in Lima. The 15-year-old Indian, who trains at the Pullela Gopichand Academy, had a giant-killing run at the tournament where he defeated the Netherland’s Niels Veenstra, France’s Thomas Baures, Thailand’s Kantaphon Wangcharoen, Denmark’s Anders Antonsen, Malaysia’s Satheishtharan R and Thailand’s Adulrach Namkul to reach the finals.

12. ATP World Tour Finals : Novak Djokovic beats Kei Nishikori
Novak Djokovic began his bid for a record fourth straight end-of-season title with victory over Japan’s Kei Nishikori at the ATP World Tour Finals. The Serb won 6-1 6-1 to claim his 15th consecutive win at London’s O2 Arena, a run stretching back to 2011. The world number one needed just 65 minutes to see off eighth seed Nishikori, and ended the afternoon with a trophy in his hands as he was confirmed as the 2015 world number one.
