Nokia has appointed Sanjay Malik as the new head of the India market. He will be taking over from the current India head Sandeep Girotra who has been recently promoted as the head of the Asia-Pacific and Japan market for Nokia. Malik will be based in Gurgaon and will lead the customer operations, drive the business growth strategy and customer engagement services, effective from August 1, 2016. He is currently the vice president and head of global network implementation services, which is a part of the company’s Global Services business.
Malik has over 25 years of experience in IT, Telecom and Technology industry in India and APAC market and have performed senior leadership roles in business management and execution.
Last Month, Nokia India had appointed Jaideep Minocha as the head for Bharti Airtel global account, following the resignation of Tejinder Kalra, to oversee the deployment of the company’s 3G and 4G network gear in Airtel’s networks in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and African markets.
