The North Atlantic Treaty Organization or the NATO has announced that its next summit will take place July 8-9, 2016 in Warsaw, Poland. The announcement was made by NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg. US President Barack Obama and other NATO leaders last met in Wales in September. They agreed on a Readiness Action Plan to adapt the 28-nation alliance to the new security environment.
The leaders have agreed to organize their next NATO summit in Warsaw, which is a symbolic location. It was the capital of a former Soviet satellite state that now belongs to NATO.
