Mahesh Rangarajan has Quit as director of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) because the nature of his appointment which was approved by the previous UPA government on its last legs was questioned.
On Sept. 15 2015, when Dr. Rangarajan informed the Council that he wanted to quit for personal reasons and he insisted once again on 16th September 2015. So, the Council accepted his resignation. Sources said joint secretary in the culture ministry in-charge of NMML will be made officiating director.
