Narendra Modi in China – 24 important agreements between the Asian Giants

On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to China, a total of 24 deals has been signed to strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and China in various fields. The agreements cover area such as education, health, infrastructure development, environment, railways..etc  The agreements have covered industries such as renewable energy, small and medium scale industries, power infrastructure, Steel industry..etc

1. Establishment of consulates-general at Chengdu and Chennai.

2. MoU has been signed between Skill development and entrepreneurship Ministry of India and the Ministry of HR and social security of China on mutual cooperation in vocational education as well as skill development.

3. Setting up of Mahatma Gandhi National Institute for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

4. MoU on consultative mechanism for cooperation in trade negotiations.

5. MoU on cooperation between India’s External affairs Ministry and China’s International department.

6. Action plan for enhancing cooperation in the railway sector.

8. MoU between the Mining ministries of both countries for the cooperation in the mining and minerals sector.
