Introduction:
The 61st anniversary of Nagaland’s statehood is being commemorated today.
On December 1st, 1963, it acquired the status of the sixteenth state within the Union of India. One of the events that will take place today morning at the Nagaland Civil Secretariat in Kohima is a state-level function.
The Chief Minister of the state, Neiphiu Rio, will address the people of the state after taking the General salute and delivering his address.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will introduce the Nagaland School Safety Policy Digital Training Platform as well as the Nagaland Disaster Risk Reduction Road Map. “Nagaland at 60” is the title of a photo exhibition that will be inaugurated by him.
This exhibition is being organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations. A cultural display will also be a part of the event, which will be marked by a special performance by the 15th National Alternative Performance (IR) Mahila Band, who were finalists on India’s Got Talent 2023.
On the occasion of the 61st Statehood Day, which is being observed today, Governor La Ganesan of Nagaland has conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state.
