Ministry Of Power Honored With Medal For Excellence At IITF 2023 (1)
Introduction:
The Special Appreciation Medal for Excellence in Display was awarded to the Ministry of Power, Government of India, during the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2023.
This medal was presented to the Ministry in recognition of their outstanding display practices.
For its excellent contribution to the 42nd edition of the International Institute of Trade and Finance (IITF), which took place at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from November 14 to November 27, 2023, the Ministry was presented with the prestigious award.
Power Pavilion: An Exhibition of Outstanding Performance
- During the trade expo, the Ministry of Energy and Environment was recognized for the impressive Power Pavilion that it had built up. Shri R. K. Singh, the Union Minister for Power and New and Renewable Energy, presided over the monumental ceremony that marked the beginning of the Pavilion’s existence on November 14, 2023.
- The Pavilion was run by the Ministry of Power, with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) serving as the nodal agency and 11 other Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) operating under the Ministry working together to make the Pavilion a success.
An Overview of the Power Pavilion’s Principal Goals
- The primary objective of the Power Pavilion was to put on display to domestic and international industry stakeholders the most important efforts that have been undertaken in the power sector.
While this was going on, the Pavilion was attempting to raise public awareness and encourage participation in the various programs and laws that the government has in place with the power industry.
Honorees of the Award
Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director at the Ministry of Power, and Shri Harjit Singh, Chief General Manager (Corporate Communications) at NTPC, were the recipients of the Special Appreciation Medal after it was presented to them.
One of the most successful endeavors is to engage the audience.
- All throughout the duration of the trade exhibition, the Power Pavilion was able to draw in a sizeable number of attendees. Not only did this participatory method educate visitors, but it also provided an experience that they would remember for a long time.
- The Pavilion was able to successfully engage the public through a variety of activities, including quiz competitions, Nukkad Natak (street plays), and magic shows, in addition to presenting information on the power business.
In order to empower lives, the Ministry of Power is working to bridge gaps.
- In India, the Ministry of Power, which is currently led by Union Cabinet Minister Raj Kumar Singh, is responsible for many important responsibilities, including the supervision of the production of energy and the development of transportation infrastructure.

It serves as an essential link between the central government and the operations of the state energy systems.
