Eminent Islamic scholar Maulana Wahiduddin Khan has been conferred with the Sayyidina Imam Al Hassan Ibn Ali Peace Award in Abu Dhabi. The 90 year old activist is well known for his knowledge and efforts in keeping peace. He has also authored several books and articles on Islam.
Maulana has adopted peace as the mission of his life and he is known for his Gandhian views as he considers non-violence as the only method to achieve success. He has penned more than 200 books on Islam, prophetic wisdom, spirituality and peaceful co-existence in a multi-ethnic society. His most recent book is The Prophet of Peace: The Teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
He has translated the Quran in simple and contemporary English and wrote a commentary on the Quran. Some of his famous books are,
