Government of India has brought about a major reshuffle at the secretary level appointments in key departments.

The New Secretary Appointments are as follows.

• CR Viswanath – Department of Consumer Affairs.
• Vrinda Sarup – Department of Food and Public Distribution.
• Subhas Chandra Khuntia – Department of School Education and Literacy in the HRD Ministry.
• Anuj Kumar Bishnoi – Department of Fertilizers.
• Shashi Shekhar – Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Secretary.
• Anil Kumar Agarwal – Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs.
• Rita A Teaotia – Commerce Secretary.
• Anup K Pujari – MSME Secretary.
• Pradeep Kumar Pujari – Power Secretary.
• Vinay Sheel Oberoi – Department of Higher Education, in the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
• V. Somasundaran – Child Development Secretary.
• Rajiv Nayan Choubey – Civil Aviation Secretary.
• Satya Narayan Mohanty – National Human Rights Commission
• Balvender Kumar – Mines Secretary

A total of 17 Secretary-level new appointments have been cleared by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
