At the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), which took place in Panaji, Goa, the illustrious actress Madhuri Dixit was presented with the award for “Special Recognition for Contribution to Bharatiya Cinema.”

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, who is the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting as well as Youth Affairs and Sports, announced Dr. L. Murugan, who is the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, and Pramod Sawant, who is the Chief Minister of Goa.
