Ajay Jayaram Beats Raul Must to Clinch Dutch Open Title

Ajay Jayaram notched up a superb straight-game win over Estonia’s Raul Must in the finals to defend his men’s singles title at the Dutch Open Grand Prix. Just three weeks after reaching his maiden Super Series final at Korea Open, Jayaram continued his rampaging run as he defeated 12th seed and World No.48 Raul 21-12 21-18 in a 34-minute lop-sided match.

Jayaram had won the Dutch Open, his maiden title last year. This is the second title of his career.

Wawrinka wins Japan Open title, beats Paire in final

Switzerland’s French Open champion Stan Wawrinka captured his fourth title this year when he beat his good friend Benoit Paire 6-2, 6-4 in the final of the Japan Open. Wawrinka, in the best form of his life, needed just 65 minutes to win the one-sided final at the Ariake Colosseum, the venue that will stage the tennis competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The final was played with the roof closed because of the threat of rain and Wawrinka quickly gained control.

The win gave Wawrinka his 11th career title, the majority of which have come since he won the 2014 Australian Open

Undefeated Novak Djokovic humbles Rafael Nadal to win sixth China Open title

World number one Novak Djokovic maintained his unbeaten run in Beijing with a successful China Open title defence against his familiar foe Rafael Nadal.  The Serbian won the match in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 in one and half hour despite the huge billing the final match had received into the clash.

In an incredible season, he has won eight titles after narrowly missing out on the calendar slam as he was beaten in the French Open final by Stan Wawrinka.
