Khelo India Para Games 2023: Haryana leads in medals tally with 88 medals

Haryana leads in medals:

The state of Haryana has maintained its position as the leader in the number of medals won at the Khelo India Para Games, with 88 medals, including 34 gold and 36 silver.

Tamil Nadu is in third position with 17 gold, closely behind Uttar Pradesh, which holds the second spot with 24 gold. The competitions that took place today included activities such as weightlifting, table tennis, shooting, and football.

In the elite 67 kilogram event of the powerlifting competition that took place today, Kasthuri Rajamani, who hails from Tamil Nadu, triumphed and won the gold medal.

During her third try to win the gold medal at the Para Asian Games, which took place in Hangzhou, China, in October, Kasthuri made a tremendous effort of 100 kg after having previously competed for India.

Parul Gohil of Gujarat, who won the silver medal with 64 kilograms, and Sumandeep of Punjab, who won the bronze medal with 57 kilograms, were both defeated by her. She was the clear winner.

As a result of her lift of 72 kilograms, Reshma Mogil, who hails from Gujarat, emerged victorious in the elite 73 kilogram category. With a weight of 58 kilograms, Sahista of Delhi was awarded the silver medal, while Maya of Rajasthan was awarded the bronze medal for her weight of 57 kilograms.
