Kenya defeat USA 74-19 in Kabaddi World Cup

Kenya kept their semi-final hopes alive as they thrashed USA 74-19 in their last Group B match of the ongoing Kabaddi World Cup at the TransStadia Arena.

Three Kenyan defenders achieved a high five whereas captain David Mosambayi scored 12 points to in Kenya’s dominant performance. USA defence scored just five points and made too many errors, as they remained winless in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

USA led 2-1 after two minutes as they scored a raid and tackle point whereas David Mosambayi got a tackle point for Kenya. David Obilo scored two tackle points while Mosambayi got two raid points as Kenya led 5-4 after five minutes. Kenya inflicted the first all out of the match in the seventh minute to lead 10-4. Kenya scored five more points in three minutes to lead 15-4 after 10 minutes.

David Mosambayi scored with a two-point raid as Kenya inflicted the second all out to lead 20-4 in the 12th minute. Ben Marcelus scored two points in the 13th minute as the USA trailed 6-21. Phelix Ospina scored with a super raid in the 15th minute as Kenya led 26-6. USA suffered the third all out of the match in the 16th minute as Kenya led 31-7. Kenya were on a fantastic run and scored 27 of the 30 points scored in 16 minutes.

Kenya led 56-12 after 30 minutes as they handled Kenyan raiders with a lot of ease. Dillyon Banks came up with a super raid in the 33rd minute as USA trailed 17-59. Kenya forced two super tacklesin quick succession to lead 64-18 after 35 minutes. Kenya wrapped up the match in style as they forced another all out in the last minute to win 74-19.
