Kamalpreet Singh broke hisown record, by a hammer throw national record with an effort of 72.86m while finishing third at the Tuscon Elite Classic in Arizona, United States on 22nd May 2015.

Kamalpreet came up with his best throw in his first of the six attempts at the University of Arizona at Tuscon.

Kamalpreet’s effort was the third best this season so far among Asian hammer throwers. He, however, has a bad luck and could not find a place in the Indian team for the June 3-7 Asian Athletics Championships in Wuhan, China. This was the second time in two months that Kamalpreet had improved upon his national record. He had registered 70.37m at the same venue in May 2014.
