London-based NRI journalist Mihir Bose has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award this week by the Asian Cricket Awards in a ceremony at Lord’s Ground. Bose, a writer and broadcaster who was born in Kolkata, was commended for his contribution to cricket journalism. His achievements include writing acclaimed books like ‘The Spirit of the Game’ and ‘A History of Indian Cricket’. Mihir also became the BBC’s first sports editor and wrote for all the leading British newspapers including The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph, Financial Times and London Evening Standard.
