Forty members of the Indian Armed Forces have arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam, to take part in the fourth Joint Military Exercise VINBAX-2023.
The exercise, which will take place from December 11th to 21st, is meant to improve India and Vietnam’s ability to work together, make their systems more compatible, and share their best ideas.
The Indian Contingent
There are 39 people from the Bengal Engineer Group Engineer Regiment and 6 people from the Army Medical Corps in the Indian group.
45 people from each side are working together on this project with the Vietnam People’s Army.
The history of VINBAX
2018 was the first year of the VINBAX practice, which took place in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Every year, this training event alternates between India and Vietnam. It helps the military forces of both countries understand each other and work together.
What the exercise is supposed to do
The practice is a Command Post practice or Field Training Exercise, and it’s mostly about how to use and deploy an Engineer Company and a Medical Team.
Its goal is to share information about new ways to build roads, culverts, helipads, ammunition shelters, and observation posts in operating areas.
Important Training Tasks
The groups that are taking part will practice together strategies, techniques, and steps for doing jobs related to combat engineering and combat medicine.
The drill will also include technical military operations scenarios that will simulate the deployment of UN contingents around the world.
Exercise for Validation
At the end of the exercise, there will be a Validation Exercise where both groups will show off the skills they learned during the training.
The military forces of India and Vietnam hope that this joint effort will help them understand each other better, work together better, and work together on defense issues.
