Indian football is going to witness its first ever player auction. The owners of the Indian Super League (ISL) Teams will bid for the ten best Indian talents for the season 2015. The auction is scheduled to take place on July 10. The listed players were missed in the inaugural season of the ISL last year due to their individual contracts with respective I-League clubs.

The four-time AIFF Player of the Year, Sunil Chhetri is at top in base price in the auction at Rs. 80 Lakhs. He is followed by goalkeeper Karanjeet Singh at Rs 60 Lakhs. Bidding for Robin Singh, Arata Izumi and Anas Edathodika will begin at Rs 40 Lakhs while Thoi Singh’s base price is quoted at Rs 39 Lakhs.

Football Sports Development Limited also announced an extensive list of 113 Indian players for ISL 2015 Draft. The eight ISL franchisees as of date have 64 Indian players on their roster, either retained from last year or signed from the open market.
