International Airports in India – Airports in India are managed by Airports Authority of India (AAI). It works under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and it is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. It provides Air traffic management (ATM) services over Indian airspace and adjoining oceanic areas.
Training Establishments of Airports Authority of India
Airports Authority of India has four training establishments.
- The Civil Aviation Training College (CATC) at Allahabad
- National Institute of Aviation Management and Research (NIAMAR) at Delhi
- Fire Training Centers (FTC) at Delhi & Kolkata.
AAI has undertaken GAGAN project in technological collaboration with Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO), where the satellite-based system will be used for navigation.
