During the Asian Marathon Championships 2024, which took place in Hong Kong today, Man Singh of India achieved a personal best time of two hours, 14 minutes, and 19 seconds, which earned him the gold medal.
With a time difference of 65 seconds, the Indian marathon runner, who is 34 years old, easily defeated the Chinese runner-up, Huang Yongzheng, who finished in second place.

The previous personal best for Man Singh was a time of 2:16:58, which he achieved at the Mumbai Marathon in 2023.

Jyoti Gawate of India finished 11th in the women’s competition with a time of 3:06:20, while Ashvini Jadhav of India finished eighth with a time of 2:56:42.
A time of 2:26:50 is required to qualify for the women’s marathon competition at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
