Indian Railways wins 32nd Indian Oil Surjit Hockey Tournament




Indian Railways has emerged as champions for the first time in 32nd Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament. They have defeated the defending champions Indian Oil Corporation of Mumbai by 4-3 in the nail biting final at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium. Star-studded Indian Oil Corporation finished runners-up for the sixth time. The winners were presented a cheque of Rs 5 lakh and the trophy. Runners-up get cash award of Rs 2.50 lakh and trophy. The Player of the Tournament Malak Singh of Indian Railways was given a cash award of Rs 25000.
