Indian Railways launched E-Samiksha to monitor Rail Projects

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has launched an online monitoring mechanism called E-Samiksha, that will monitor the implementation of ongoing railway projects on real-time basis, infrastructure target and board meeting follow-up.   E-Samiksha is designed by National Informatics Center. The software is currently being used by Cabinet Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office and other Ministries for monitoring progress implementation of various programmes and follow-up of meetings. E-Samiksha software has been developed to make it a highly interactive web-based, user-friendly and customised system.

  1. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) was formed on 1976 and it is headquartered in New Delhi. It is the premier Science & Technology organisation of India.
  2. The NIC is a part of the Indian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s Department of Electronics & Information Technology.
