Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has defended their title by defeating Army XI 3-2 in the final of the 89th All India MCC Murugappa Hockey Tournament. As the winning team, Indian Oil Corporation takes home the prize money of Rs 5 lakhs, and the runner-up team Army XI receives Rs 2.5 lakhs. Deepak Thakur was not only the Man of the Match in the finals but also received a special prize for the Best Forward in the tournament.
The 89th edition of the MCC-Murugappa Gold Cup Hockey tournament was held from 16 July to 26 July 2015.
