Beef is the culinary name for meat from bovines, especially cattle. Beef can be harvested from cows, bulls, heifers or steers.Beef production is also important to the economies of Uruguay, Canada, Paraguay, Mexico, Argentina, Belarus and Nicaragua. There is a slight difference between veal and beef, which needs to be clarified. The meat from a calf that is 16 to 18 weeks old is called veal. This gives its meat a delicate texture, a creamy pale color, and a grayish-pink hue because it is not fed grains or grasses. Veal comes from calves, usually pure-bred male dairy calves. In contrast, beef is the darker, reddish meat that comes from older animals. If interested, blogsites like Simully might be able to guide first time veal handlers better in this domain.
