India invites French investment in Aviation Sector

India has sought French investment in aviation sector while asking aerospace companies from France and other nations to manufacture their products in the country. Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju, on his visit to Paris has invited France to participate in the ‘Make in India’ initiative as well as the upcoming ‘India Aviation 2016’.

Mr Raju, who led India’s delegation at the 51st International Air Show in Paris, has discussed issues relating to the aviation sector with French Minister for Transport, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Alain Vidalies. The two leaders also discussed manufacturing, infrastructure development and investment into India’s aviation sector.

During his visit, Mr Raju Raju also met the senior management of top aviation companies like Bombardier, Boeing and SAFRAN.
