One of the India’s four large banks, the ICICI bank has tied up with a leading UAE-based bank, Emirates NBD, to provide an instant remitting service to Indians residing in the Gulf nation. This tie up will enable the customers to transfer funds to account holders of ICICI bank in India within a minute via the DirectRemit service. The bank customers can utilize this service via internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs of Emirates NBD.

ICICI Bank’s President Vijay Chandok said DirectRemit service eases the convenience of sending money to any beneficiary in India within a minute. He said he is very pleased to tie up with Emirates NBD and also confident in delivering best-in-class service propositions to NRIs across UAE.

Emirates NBD is the largest banking group in the Middle East in terms of assets.
