Cochin Shipyard has launched the sixteenth of the 20 Fast Patrol Vessels (BY 516) of the Indian Coast Guard. The name of the vessel is ‘ICGS ARNVESH’ and was launched by K Belina, wife of R-Admiral K Ravikiran, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Ship Repair Yard, Cochin. Top officials of the Coast Guard were present on the occasion.
Cochin Shipyard has delivered 13 vessels in the 20 vessel series. The 14th vessel is getting ready for sea trials. The 13th vessel ICGS ANMOL was handed over to CG on June 1, 2015 nearly 20 days ahead of the schedule.
