a)80:13        b)55:23     c)13:65      d)180 :130

3) Ans -a)80:13

55% increase in the sale of company C and D together is weighted mean of 60% and 30% .

C                     D

60%              30%

55%
25                  5

5          :           1       =ratio of sale in year 2003

Now,     sale of company C in 2004/ sale of company D in 2004

=    (5 x 160/100)/ 1 x 130/100= 80/13

a)36.52%   b)26.64%      c)42.32%      d)27.85%

10- Ans -b)26.64%

The highest % growth in the total no. of people is  from  1993 to 1994

No. of people traveling by passenger trains in 1993 = 43% of ( 26.2%of 50209) =5657 thousand

No. of people traveling by passenger trains in 1994=43% of ( 26.2%of 63587)= 7164 thousand

So % growth = (7164-5657) / 5657*100 = 26.64%
OR

Just calculate = total no. in 1993 =50209
in  1994                                            =63587

(63587-50209)/50209 *100= 26.64%
