The second largest private lender HDFC Bank on 18th May 2015 launched co-branded medical benefits card with Apollo Hospitals, which allows corporates to disburse medical allowances to their employees and has insurance cover for accidents.

About HDFC Bank-Apollo Medical Benefits Cards:

1.  Corporates can load the specified allowance onto the card each month, which can later be used by employees for medical expenditure Visa/MasterCard outlets.
2. The bank claimed that this is the first-of-its kind product in the country.
3. The card comes with a free accidental death insurance of Rs 3 lakh.
4. The card also provides accident hospitalisation insurance of Rs 30,000.
5. this card also provides Employees with discounts at Apollo network including Apollo Hospitals, Apollo Pharmacies, Apollo Clinics and Apollo White Dental.

3. The card also provides value added services like complementary ambulance at select hospitals, priority desk etc.
